Hey, I’m Maria.

I’m a Miami-based actress, writer, and director best known for Sugar Slate (2025) and Judge Porter.

I’m developing my first feature film, Pilgrim State — a psychological thriller inspired by a true story.

The short film Sugar Slate (2025) is a collaboration with Lorenzo Patané and Alessandra Rucco from The Coach MC Studio.

It has been selected to be included in eight film festivals in the U.S. and worldwide (so far!)

Sky won Best Actress at the 2025 Portugal Indie Film Festival for her role as River.

In addition to starring in the film, Maria Sky co-wrote and produced the project.

🎬 Current Project: Pilgrim State

Inside a psychiatric facility, siblings Jad and Drea Falcone are locked in a psychological battle where truth and delusion are indistinguishable. Each insists the other is the patient—and each becomes frighteningly convincing.

About Maria Sky

Maria Sky began her career in journalism, where she developed a sharp instinct for bold, character-driven storytelling. After nearly a decade writing for new outlets, including Newsweek, she left Brooklyn for Miami — a move that ignited her passion for life both in front of and behind the camera.

In 2025, she co-wrote and co-directed the short film Uprise with Reelbonds, which placed fifth at the Miami 48-Hour Film Festival.

As an actress, Maria is arguably best known for her work in digital series, such as Judge Porter and SoulSnack.

Next, the multi-hyphenate will star as the lead in the upcoming horror folk film Oh, Susanna.
